  • Taught courses in web design (HTML, slicing, Cascading Style Sheets, basic animation), 2-dimensional design and color theory, digital- imaging and photography, drawing, vector illustration and typography

  • Departmental Macintosh guru and platform advocate - I was the only faculty member who switched my main desktop system to Macintosh and upon my arrival at the school in 2001 one of my top priorities was to add a Macintosh-based teaching lab for the Graphic Design curriculum
  • Spring 2005 re-designed the departmental website from a framed site to a design using HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) (site viewable at:

  • Researched appropriate software and hardware needs for the program and provided this information to the Computer Technology Services (CTS) director for procurement
  • Coordinated with and assisted the desktop administrators in lab hardware and software configurations, and trouble-shooting
  • Assisted program faculty and students to solve hardware, software and related technical issues, and directed them to CTS when necessary

  • Provided consultation for faculty, staff and students on educational and professional multimedia projects
  • Trained and provided technical support for elementary and middle school teachers learning digital video editing and web development as part of an education grant, which was awarded to the CIMC for the purpose of providing equipment and training teachers
  • Trained computer lab assistants to aid CIMC patrons with computing needs
  • Trained library staff in digital image and video editing and web page maintenance
